Your first name
Your last name
You country of residence
Your state of residence IF you live in the USA
The email address (if different) you wish me to send class instructional handouts to.
The email address (if different) you wish me to use for Class Blog Access.

After you register, I will send you a Welcome Email and Google/Blogger will send you (at my request) an Invitation to join the Class Blog where the class will be held.

This is an ON-LINE internet class
You will need to follow some simple instructions to register and gain access to the private class blog. Your name and email will need to be entered; but NO social security or credit card information is required. Just basic information to "recognize" you as a class participant. We will follow the same process you used in the Basic Class.

This is the first module of the Intermediate level courses; while it does NOT involve a lot of sewing or piecing...it does involve a lot of thinking! We will cover Color Theory...and you will select various groups of colors. We will discuss the various types of designs for piecing CQ blocks...and when to use which each design. You will be practicing these designs by applying the guidelines...and then designing your own blocks on paper. You will sew at least one block as the last task...using any of the designs covered in the course. So, while there is not a huge requirement for fabrics, etc...there is a lot of thinking that happens.

Hugs, and I hope to see you in the class!

Ooops...mistake

Morning everyone!

For a little while this morning...there was the announcement of open registration for the ICQC 102 Class. BUT, this was in error...and the calendar was in error.

I have changed the class calendar...and deleted the prior post.

My play was/is to move the class open registration to 2-4 September. I did put that in the calendar correctly...but forgot to delete the prior dates in August. Silly to have the same class open just a week apart but sorry for the confusion because I forgot to delete the August info.

Geez...it's no fun getting so forgetful!

And, it is embarrassing to do it in "public".

Hugs,

A handy tool...that I hope to never use.

We all could feel this way...as it is so aggraviting to "unsew" a seam.
But, with this wonderful little gift from my cyber pal, Carol Kramer...it should be a much more pleasant task!

Her wonderful hubby Woody (isn't that a great name to go with this gift!)...made it for her to gift to me. Thanks Woody!

It feels wonderful in my hand...the wood is smooth as silk...and the size is just right to rest against the palm of my hand. I just love it...even though I hope to never use it!

HUGS Carol!...and to all!

Okay Call the "White Coat" Guys...

....cause I have finally lost it for sure!
I just purchased a great book...The Artful Ribbon by Candace Kling. It is a book that I had purchased a few years ago...and gave away or sold...so needed a new one.
Saw it on Pinterest the other day...and it made me think about how much I wished I had it ...and that it looked familiar...I checked the bookcase and it was not there. So, I knew that I had sold or given away my copy...probably in the de-stashing I did the first part of the year.

So, I've been waiting on the book to arrive and it did today...so glad to finally have it here!
But...when I put it on the bookshelf...here is what I saw:

WHAT! Geez...and frankly, this is not the first time I've done this. Seriously, I need to be better organized or something!

So, what to do?
Well, we have not had a drawing lately...so I'm going to GIVE AWAY my newly purchased "extra" book!
Here are the rules to be considered in this drawing:

1) STUDENTS ONLY WILL BE CONSIDERED so tell me which class you have taken. You do not need to have finished the course...but will need to have at least completed the first 2 tasks. (Just registering, but not being able to get started will not qualify you.)

2) Leave a comment below with the class info needed. Do not send me emails...only those Valid Comments on THIS POST will be considered.

3) You have until midnight on Thursday (7/23, Central Standard Time) to leave your comment. I will use the date stamps on the comments to determine if you made the deadline for consideration. On Friday, I will review the comments...and compile a list of valid entries. Then, I will use a RANDOM GENERATOR to pick the winner.
I will post the winner here on this post...by Sunday; after I have contacted them via email. I will use the emails from the class roster of the Course you say you took.
Good luck...hope you win!

July 26, Edited to add:
There were 40 folks entered in the drawing...I checked the comments against the prior class registrations rosters...and if the person was there...listed them on my Drawing List...and assigned them the next number.

Then, I went to random.org and ran their random number generator for any number from 1-40. The result was:

And, #18 was Kathy Lamb of Illinois!
The book is on it's way Kathy...sorry I did not have 39 more so all who entered could have one.
Hugs,!

The Winter edition is in the works...and the staff is looking for photos and ideas!
So, if you have prior crazy work with Winter scenes, christmas projects, snowmen, snowflakes, in whites, blues, mint greens....let Pam Kellogg know about them!

Pastel Hexagon...#?...I forgot...

A very hectic week with family issues...but, still I managed to get at least ONE more hexagon finished. So, feel like I accomplished something creative at least.
Would have been happier to have iris instead of daffodils against this peach background...but, I can live with less than perfect...so am not changing anything. I realize that when the entire quilt comes together, it will not be as noticeable to me as it is just looking at this single block. Here are some closeup shots for you.

Newest Hexagon Finished

Here's my next block. The embellishment is complete, now to add the fabric backing...and it will go into the stack of finished blocks...just waiting to be stitched together into a throw for the bottom of the bed.
Here are some close up photos for you.

Pincushion

I signed up for a pincushion swap (I know!...like I have time!)...but we all need a little "diversion" from the normal at times...and so thought this would be a fun "side street" for me to go down. Here are all four sides.

This is inspired by one I saw on Pinterest...but I did my own thing instead.
