Next CQJP Block done!

WARNING
When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens . . .
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.
(written in 1961 by Jenny Joseph who lives in Minchinhampton, England)

My red hat lady is a celebration of my more mature time, when I shall rejoice at doing what every I please each day!

The lady is a patch that I purchased a long time ago..and finally am stitching her to a block.
Hugs, hope all have a great day of stitching!

Absolutely gorgeous. There's a seam on there I want to try, too. ;)

Hey that is the same S monogram I used for the class block. They are the same pattern but totally different.

Love your block as always Kathy.

Fabulous! I am thinking some of these dyed lace pieces may be Aiden's handwork as the colors are not your norm. I love them and love the whole block!
