The weekend and this week have been busy. I've been beading cabochons for my friend Thearica's shop...and put 34 of them into the mail this morning. I forgot to get a photo before closing the box(...bad blogger, bad blogger) but, in my defense...it was before 6 a.m. and I was trying to get the inventory sheet and package ready to mail before Brady woke up. You'll have to keep a watch at her shop, crazyquiltsupplies to see when they show up on her site for sale.
Now, I'm working on beading up some turtles..aren't these cute?!
I had forgotten about doing some...but putting the other supplies away reminded me.
This little turtle was done a couple of years ago...and he was in one of the supply drawers. My muse decided she wanted to bead just a little more...so I'm working some up for a few friends.
Hope you are having a super day...and that the sun is shining!
Those turtles are beyond adorable!! I once had a really cute little turtle brooch (probably back in the early 70's)- it's long gone and seeing these makes me wish I still had it. Perfect addition to a CQ!!
these are very nice. I am taking part in a RR and the piece that arrive yesterday was under the sea, scratched my head then thought a turtle, wish I had seen this blog before I stitched mine as I would have tried a beaded one, never mind mine is very simple done in back stitch. Since I have started on the patchwork the embroidery has taken second place and been somewhat neglected apart from what I do on the crazy blocks
Oh my - the turtles are so cute. I may just have to make myself one. One of my favourite things to do when I was a kid was to play in my Mom's button box. And there was a turtle brooch in there for some reason. Its head used to move and it was my favourite thing in the box. Never did find out what happened to it.
Hi girl these are just the cutest things I have seen, well next to Pat's Bees. Love the turtles. I saw in one of her magazines yur tut on how to make cabochons so that is on my list to do this year that and dyed lace. Thanks for showing these. Hope all is well and not to cold, Get ready for the next nasty cold coming. xoxoxo
I have the one you made me in Ohio with Donna, and Becky! Remember that trip, lol, what fun we had!
