Reference: Twelve Dozen Stitches in Twelve Months
We've been using the zig zag as our base stitch, and now let's change it up a little bit. Instead of straight stitch...we're going to us a chain stitch. It is a very simple stitch...close to a lazy daisy...so you should not have any problems doing one.
I like to anchor my chain at the top and bottom of the zigzag to keep it looking neat.
This first stitch is a little tight. If you want it to have more space, use the medium zigzag template and/or size 12 perle cotton. I used size 8, and IMHO it takes up too much room.
